Renovations in Edmonton Help Kelson Group Residents Live Better!
Heatheridge Estates Apartments is a three-building rental apartment complex, centrally located at 2000 Saddleback Road in Edmonton, Alberta. Kelson Group complex is popular with students and seniors alike, many of whom are now enjoying recently renovated spaces!
When one of the buildings was replaced after burning down in a fire four years ago, the team at Kelson Group took the opportunity to update the two other buildings, a way to bring consistency to the entire complex.
"We were excited to have the opportunity to upgrade the two other buildings," said Val Letkeman, Heatheridge Estates building manager. "The one and two-bedroom suites feature contemporary open floor plans and convenient storage solutions, a balcony or patio, and stylish window coverings."
"Kitchens are beautifully finished and have three appliances, beautiful counters and cabinets, and some suites have vinyl plank flooring. The living areas are enhanced by LED lighting, plenty of natural light and top-floor apartments have beautiful lofts or vaulted ceilings."
Letkeman said there are many long-time residents at Heatheridge, some who have lived with Kelson Group for over 30 years. It was important to the company to ensure renovations were as seamless as possible for all residents.
"We've had a great team of contractors doing the work, so we've had very little stress to residents during the construction," said Letkeman. "Everybody loves the colours and the changes. It's created a quiet and calming environment."
Other updates include new boiler systems, renovations to the outdoor pool area, and putting in 36 raised garden beds for residents to use. The complex has also initiated a composting program so resident gardeners can apply compost on their garden beds and reduce organic food waste.
"Kelson Group is a great company with really great people. It's a pleasure to work with people who have an interest in making their product look attractive," said Letkeman. "My family and I live here too, and I find it to be a really nice place to live. When we retire, we can't think of a better place to be."
