There’s nothing like a well-executed exterior upgrade to enhance the appearance and longevity of a trusted Kelson Group property. Over the past several months, Southdale Park has undergone a series of major exterior renovations, transformed the visual appeal of the buildings and improved the overall living experience for residents. 

We spoke with David Andrusiak, Building Manager at Southdale Park, to learn more about the recent updates to the siding, windows, and patio doors. 

“Residents are excited to know when their suites will be completed. They’re already enjoying the changes and are impressed by the quality and finish of the new siding and windows,” said Andrusiak. “There’s a noticeable difference, and people are appreciating the attention to detail.” 

The renovation includes the installation of HardiePlank® siding in a modern palette of Iron Gray and Monterey Taupe, creating a refreshed and contemporary look. Prior phases of the improvement included upgraded balconies and railings, setting the stage for the current transformation. 

Recent work involved removing the original siding on Buildings 1, 2, and 3 and preparing the exteriors for the new materials. These improvements not only enhance curb appeal but also offer practical benefits such as improved energy efficiency and noise reduction. 

“One ground-floor resident shared that the new siding has helped reduce noise from nearby traffic,” Andrusiak added. “Others have commented on how smoothly the new balcony doors operate, especially benefitting those with mobility concerns.”
